logd − collect logging information in a customs network
logd [ logfile ]
Logd accepts logging information from the registered hosts in a network of customs(8) agents and prints the information in a standard format to a file, as specified by logfile. If none is given a default is used. Specifying ’-’ directs the log to standard output.
Logd will only collect logs from customs hosts in the same network as the local customs agent (as listed by reginfo(1)). Therefore, a customs daemon must be running on the same host as logd.
Logd is intended primarily as a debugging tool, as it is very verbose and customs(8) itself reports any noteworthy events to a local log file or to syslog(3). Logd can also be used to obtain a detailed account of individual job import/export actions.
