pilot−foto − Fetches and converts images from the Palm ’Foto’ application
pilot−foto [−p <port>] -f |-c] MyImage.jpg.pdb
pilot−foto is used to fetch images from your Palm that are created with the Palm "Foto" application (CreatorID ’Foto’). The Palm Zire71 handheld produces these images.
−p, −−port <port>
Use device file <port> to communicate with the Palm handheld. If this is not specified, will look for the $PILOTPORT environment variable. If both are not found or supplied, install−expenses will fall back to /dev/pilot
−h, −−help
Display the help synopsis for pilot−foto
−v, −−version
Display version of pilot−foto
−f, −−fetch [filename]
Fetch the file named by [filename] from the Palm and convert it to a .jpg file you can view with your standard image tools
−c, −−convert [filename]
Convert the photo file named in [filename] from a file locally on your system (not on the Palm itself) into a .jpg file you can view with standard image tools
Connect to a target Palm handheld and fetch image files from the device which match the CreatorID ’Foto’ and convert them to .jpg format files. Alternately, it can convert local files with the same CreatorID to .jpg files as well
To fetch the images from the Palm, and convert them to .jpg files:
pilot−foto −p /dev/pilot −f MyImage.jpg.pdb
To convert an image already on disk, such as from a full backup:
pilot−foto −c MyImage.jpg.pdb
