NAME

memos − Read or Write Memopad entries to STDOUT or files.

SYNOPSIS

memos [−p <port>] [−V] [options]

DESCRIPTION

memos is used to read your Palm Memos database and read/write the entries to STDOUT, or to individual files on disk, in a directory you specify, one memo per file in that named directory.

OPTIONS

−p, −−port <port>

Use device file <port> to communicate with the Palm handheld. If this is not specified, will look for the $PILOTPORT environment variable. If both are not found or supplied, install−expenses will fall back to /dev/pilot.

−h, −−help

Display the help synopsis for memos.

−v, −−version

Display version of memos.

−V, −−verbose

Verbose, with −d, print each filename when written to disk.

−d, −−delete

Delete memo named by number <num>.

−f, −−file [file] ..

Use <file> as input file (instead of MemoDB.pdb).

−s, −−save <dir>

Save memos in <dir> instead of writing to STDOUT.

−c, −−category <cat>

Only create memos in this category.

−r, −−regex [regex]

Select memos saved by regular expression on the title.

USAGE

Connect to a target Palm handheld and read/write to/from the Memo application database (MemoDB.pdb).
