putpwent − write a password file entry

int putpwent(const struct passwd *p, FILE *stream);

DESCRIPTION

The putpwent() function writes a password entry from the structure p in the file associated with stream.

The passwd structure is defined in <pwd.h> as follows:

			/* user id */ gid_t pw_gid;

The putpwent() function returns 0 on success, or −1 if an error occurs.
